Graduate Certificate of Higher Education (GCHE)
Unless otherwise exempt, academic staff appointed to continuing academic position involving teaching are required to complete satisfactorily the Deakin University Graduate Certificate of Higher Education (GCHE).
This policy and procedure applies to staff appointed at levels A to D commencing employment with the University on or after 01 January 2004.
Reporting:
The Human Resources Services Division will provide progress reports to Faculties/Institutes in February and September each year for staff required to complete the GCHE.
Monitoring:
The role of deans and directors is to ensure that staff members are participating in and completing the GCHE as required under policy.
The sample letter templates are provided for use by deans and directors to advise staff of requirements.
