What are the opening hours of the Library and computer labs?
There are a number of computer labs on each Campus open 24 hours, 7 days a week, and others with varying opening hours. You should check online for Library opening hours as they change throughout the year.
Who can I ask for assistance in the Library?
You can either ask for assistance from a Student Rover in a red t-shirt or a staff member at the front desk. Also, an easy way to access help remotely is by using the using the 'Help' section' on the Library hompage.
Can I extend the borrowing period of a book from the Library?
If the books are not on hold for someone else, you can extend the period of your borrowing. You can renew your books in person, online via My Library or by phone. However, there is a limit to the number of times you will be able to renew an item. These limits depend upon what category of student you are. More information is available at the Borrowing page.
Can I borrow items from libraries at other Universities?
Being an Australian University student entitles you to borrow from other University and TAFE libraries outside Deakin using a CAVAL card. Ask the Library reception for assistance or go online for more information .
Where can I book a room for group study?
Each Campus Library has study rooms available for Deakin University students to use. Bookings are required. Please see your Library Reception for more information.

Deakin Campuses also have extensive wireless coverage, so if you have a personal laptop you can make use of the many wireless hotspots on Campus.
Can I connect my personal laptop to the internet at uni?
The Deakin wireless network is a service provided for students and offers the flexibility to access the Deakin network and the Internet without requiring cables or wires. You can find a zone by looking for a Deakin wireless zone sign located near a base station.
