Work-integrated learning/internships

Our work-integrated learning (WIL) program allows you to gain valuable job experience while you’re still studying. As well as payment and workplace experience, some WIL placements may also contribute credit towards your course.

You can work part time while you study

You’ll be able to work up to 40 hours a fortnight while you’re studying in Australia on a student visa. During holiday breaks you can work unlimited hours.

Student mentoring

Our student mentoring program ensures new students are supported in their social and academic transition to Deakin, especially during their first trimester. You can also become a mentor and help others while developing your own leadership skills.
