India's first international branch campus
Deakin University is the first international university in the world to open a teaching campus in India. Deakin has established its first international branch campus in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) in accordance with International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) regulations. GIFT City is a central business precinct in the Gandhinagar district in Gujarat, India. It is India's first operational greenfield smart city and is set to become a global financial and information technology hub. Learning from industry partners, Deakin graduates will be prepared for emerging and in-demand roles in India's growth sectors.

A sustainable future
Deakin is committed to integrating sustainability through our education, campus operations and research. The University’s sustainability commitments will continue to be reflected in our operations around the world – we're committed to becoming carbon neutral by 2025 through renewable energy.
