Our rooms at a glance

All our residential buildings are mixed gender, with residents from across Australia and the world. At Geelong Waurn Ponds, you can:

  • live by yourself in a studio apartment room
  • live with other people in shared units
  • live in a two- or three-bedroom townhouse if you're a medical student.

You’ll have your own private bedroom and free internet access with whatever option you choose.

Studio apartment

You'll have your own bathroom and kitchen area in one of our studio apartment rooms, as well as a king single bed, built-in wardrobe and a study area. There are 309 studio apartments in our dedicated residential building.

A unit in a shared building

We have a range of units at Geelong Waurn Ponds. You'll have your own bedroom with a study area, single bed and built-in wardrobe. Kitchens, bathrooms and laundry facilities are shared with other students, and there are common areas with pool tables, TVs and Foxtel.

Townhouse accommodation

Some of our accommodation is made available to medical students as a priority. They include two- and three-bedroom townhouses. The remainder of unfilled medical student accommodation is offered to older students looking for a quieter residence.

Our two-bedroom townhouses have ensuite bathrooms, king beds and built-in wardrobes. Both types of townhouses have a lounge, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry and private study areas.

If we have rooms in surplus after offers have been made to medical students, the pool is opened to postgraduate or older students looking for a quieter environment.

Dorm style

Accommodation is available for 58 students in traditional shared dormitory-style accommodation. You'll have your own furnished bedroom, with a shared lounge, kitchen, bathroom and laundry.

This accommodation is in close proximity to all other shared accommodation and facilities on campus, including a large common room equipped with pool tables, Foxtel and other activities.
