Knowledge areas

Construction research falls under four genres. These are 1) technical questions of materials or systems performance 2) optimization of project level operations and outcomes, 3) management of construction firms and industry competitiveness, and 4) strategic value of construction and infrastructure assets at a national level.

Most construction research is undertaken at the level of the first two genres. Igor's international experience and management background have fostered a particular interest in the much neglected second two genres. Igor is expert in strategic issues related to the competitive management of construction firms. His current research focus is the exploration of construction activity as a tool to promote national economic advantage.

Igor also conducts research in sustainability, infrastructure and innovation, as they relate to construction and the built environment.

Expertise

Igor is expert in the management of global construction enterprises.
