Prospective international students may apply in one of the following ways:
Information and application forms are available from here.
Opportunities for international students wanting to spend a semester at Deakin whilst earning credit transfers are available. We frequently have international students spending one to two semesters at our School through the Study Abroad @ Deakin Program. Students usually join our architecture courses at third or fourth year level and find their experience an invaluable and interesting one. Students from the northern hemisphere find the adjustment in bearing and orientation affects climate responsive decisions in design, while students from USA find the metric system needs to be understood, but once these initial barriers are adjusted, they readily immerse themselves successfully in local culture and practice. We currently have exchange students from Kansas City University, Berlin Technical Institute and University of North Dakota.
To assist with the academic and social transition at the School, all exchange students are invited to join in the School Induction Program held prior to the start of Semester 1 in February.
Opportunities for students who are enrolled at Deakin to consider being part of the Education Abroad as a Deakin Exchange student are available. Exchange agreements exist with many Schools of Architecture and Construction Management. Deakin students have gone on exchange to University of Waterloo, Canada, Sweden, Helsinki, Iceland and others.
