Meet the Head of the School of Architecture and Built Environment
Professor Sarah McGann is Head of the School of Architecture and Built Environment. Sarah chairs the Gender, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (GEDI) taskforce for the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment. She is an applied researcher and consultant with expertise in design for wellbeing, ageing and palliative care. Maintaining her registration as an architect in Ireland, Sarah continues to consult with a range of architectural practices and health and aged care providers on built environment matters.
Our school ambition is to redefine the roles of architects and built environment professionals, fostering a holistic integration of transdisciplinary knowledge to address the complexities of today’s world.
