English Language Proficiency

International student applicants must demonstrate proficiency in English Language by providing certified/notary documentary evidence of one of the acceptable standards of English Language competencies if they are from a non-English speaking country:

Applicants who sit for IELTS or TOEFL must attain the required score to be considered for all architecture and construction management courses. Applicants who meet University' academic entrance requirements but do not meet the English Language requirements will be automatically eligible for placement at the Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI).

Twinning Arrangements

Many international students have applied successfully to study our courses from feeder or partner institutions. In some cases formal twinning programmes exist. Applicants have recently been accepted to Deakin and successfully completed undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Architecture and Building from a range of institutions.

Advanced Standing

Students articulating from a recognised offshore institution and holding a diploma in architecture or construction management related areas can normally expect to receive 2 years full-time advanced standing in cognate undergraduate courses offered by the School.

 

Mid-year Entry

Mid-year entry is available in all courses.

Recognition

All undergraduate courses are widely accredited for professional practice in Australia and selected countries worldwide. Details can be found under each course description.
