Building Technology

Society has an imperative to make more efficient use of energy. The dominant environmental issue of this century is the need to contain demand for energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Environmentally responsive buildings, innovative building design and the integrated use of progressive environmental technologies offer great scope for reducing energy consumption while improving workplace productivity and amenity. The technology team of the school provide a much-needed stratagem for a better understanding of how buildings perform. Environmental Analysis of Buildings (including energy and greenhouse gas emission reduction in the built environment) and Building Technology is thus a matter of great urgency and importance.
