The History and Theory stream concentrates its research in a number of key areas of architecture, the built environment and landscape, in particular the Art and Architecture of Global Cities, Multiculturalism, Migration and Architecture, and the Cultural Heritage of Built Environments and Places. These are all placed within the contested contexts of history, cultural heritage and culture, synthesising such diverse subjects as ancient Hindu/Buddhist monuments, Renaissance and Gothic Revival architecture, and the architecture of contemporary postcolonial and multicultural cities.
