Chunlu Liu - BERG Co-Director/Senior Lecturer

Dr. Chunlu Liu completed his undergraduate degree in structural engineering and has gained a master degree in construction management from Tongji University. He received his degree of Doctor of Engineering for a major in civil engineering from Nagoya University with a dissertation titled Lifecycle Management of Network-Level Bridges. His academic career started with teaching construction engineering and management, and construction economics and enterprise management in Shanghai Jiaotong University. He has had experience in teaching and research in China, Japan and the UK before joining Deakin University as a senior lecturer. At present, he is responsible for teaching five undergraduate and postgraduate units: information systems in construction; construction scheduling and planning; research proposal; research dissertation; and construction project planning. He is currently supervising a number of research students, and his current HDR students' research themes are real estate economics, construction sustainability, property management, and international construction. His current research interests are construction economics and management; construction information systems; infrastructure development and systems; international construction; and project lifecycle management. His research is being supported by Deakin University and the Australian Academy of Science.
