Research in Engineering

The School of Engineering is committed to the generation of fundamental knowledge, high quality research training and assisting industry advance technology to maintain a competitive edge. The School has two Faculty research clusters, Sustainable Infrastructure and Sensing, Control and Diagnostics for a Sustainable Future, as well as being the foundation for Automotive Innovation, a multi-disciplinary research theme includes the Centre for Material and Fibre Innovation (CMFI) and the Centre for Intelligent Systems Research (CISR).

School of Engineering researchers are also an integral part of research themes in CMFI and CISR, in particular in the areas of numerical modelling, material manufacturing and performance, and robotics and haptics.
