Airport pickup service
A free airport pickup service is provided for all new international students commencing their studies at Deakin University for the first time. You will need to have your accommodation arranged before you apply for airport pickup. Please visit the HouseMe site for assistance finding accommodation.
If you need to cancel or change your booking for your airport pickup please email our office at firstname.lastname@example.org with at least 48 hours' notice. Failure to do so may result in you being charged for the airport pickup fee.
If you cannot find your driver in the Melbourne Airport International Arrival Hall, please check that you are waiting in the correct place – you should be waiting at the Meeting Point.

Upon your arrival at the Meeting Point please wait until your driver arrives. Do not walk away from the meeting point.
Enrolment and Orientation program
Go to Get Started for essential information about the compulsory Enrolment and Orientation program for international students. This is where you download your Orientation itinerary which includes details of all the sessions you need to attend - the key to smooth

Attending the Enrolment and Orientation program is essential if you want to make a successful start at Deakin. During the week you will:
- Receive course advice,
enroland sign up for tutorials.
- Get your student ID card, IT and Library access.
- Learn about Deakin and the many services that can help you during your studies.
- Make connections with other new students and join mentor programs and student clubs.
- Meet current Deakin students and hear about their experiences.
The first event should attend is the International Student Welcome on Monday 23 February.
Melbourne Burwood Campus:

Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus:
Time: 9.30 am - Location: DA2.004 (KD Stewart Centre MF Room)
Geelong Waterfront Campus:
Time: 9.30 am - Location: D2.193 (Percy Baxter LT)
Time: 9.30 am - Location: B1.09 (student Life Reception, Building B, Lower Level)
Need further assistance during Orientation? There are Welcome Areas staffed by senior students located on each campus during the Orientation period to assist you with directions, session details and other enquiries.
These senior students, known as Connect Leaders, will also be around busy parts of the campus, so look out for them in their orange t-shirts.
