The role of the Committee


The People and Culture Committee’s responsibilities include:

  • oversight of the conditions of employment and remuneration of Deakin staff and officers
  • considering the Vice-Chancellor's confidential succession plans for University Executives
  • advising Council on any matters referred to it by Council and where specifically requested by Council.

Members

The Vice-Chancellor may be in attendance for items other than any item addressing the Vice-Chancellor’s remuneration or performance. The Chief People and Culture Officer and Director Partnering and Solutions may also attend meetings of the People and Culture Committee with rights of audience and debate.
