There are plenty of bus services that run from the Geelong CBD, Geelong railway station and the Waurn Ponds railway station to the Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus.
It's approximately a one-hour drive from Melbourne's CBD, depending on traffic. There's a number of carparks on campus, paid via permit or ticket. You can also park for free at the Barwon Valley Activity Centre in Belmont, and complete your journey on the free inter-campus shuttle bus.
The campus is connected to a number of scenic bicycle trails. On campus you’ll find showers and change rooms, bike racks and lockers to make your commute as easy and safe as possible or you can park at Barwon Valley Activity Centre (BVAC) and jump on the Cube bus to campus.
We provide a free carpool matching service for students and staff. If you're giving someone a lift to campus, you can also use the carpooling car park.
While you're on campus
Free inter-campus shuttle bus
Our free inter-campus bus service for students and staff runs Monday to Friday, 7am until 8.30pm, with stops at both Geelong campuses. There’s also a stop at the Barwon Valley Activity Centre in Belmont. It's the most convenient way to travel between campuses.
Please note the bus service doesn't operate on weekends or during University closure dates.
Explore your campus the old-school way. Print it out or download a copy to your phone. Either way, you'll have a handy campus guide at your fingertips.
Most of our buildings are wheelchair-accessible and have lifts, accessible toilets and automatic doors. We're continuously working to improve the accessibility of all campus facilities.
