Crossing borders requires a visa
After you have accepted an offer to study at Deakin and we have issued a Confirmation of Enrolment, you are eligible to apply for a student visa. The Australian Government has advised that there may be delays with visa approvals due to the high number of applications. We recommend starting to plan your future now to avoid delays.
Post-study work rights
On completion of your course, you can apply for a Temporary Graduate visa to work in Australia. The length of time this visa allows you to remain in Australia depends on your level of study. The Australian Government has recently extended the length of post-study work rights for graduates of coursework masters degrees from 2 to 3 years.
Isolation and testing requirements for international students coming to Victoria are subject to change. The Victorian coronavirus information website provides the most up-to-date advice about travel to Victoria.
