MBA

Ready to take your career to new heights? Deakin's Master of Business Administration (MBA) is one of the most highly regarded in Australia. Renowned for its flexibility via experiential units like study tours and residential intensives, it's designed for busy professionals seeking career development while balancing work and lifestyle commitments.

Get work-ready

Our flagship MBA has a wide range of specialisations to help you progress your career in all areas of business – from administration to business strategy. We also have MBA courses dedicated to careers in healthcare management and international business.

Our teaching staff integrate theory and professional practice, ensuring your learning experiences reflect today's workplace. The MBA isn't just about knowledge and skills, but also about networking, career enhancement and professional development.

Postgraduate

Postgraduate (further study)

A postgraduate qualification can be undertaken by students who have already completed an undergraduate degree or possess significant, demonstrable work experience. Postgraduate courses include graduate certificates, graduate diplomas, masters and PhDs, as well as specialist programs for industry professionals.

Flexibility, but not as you know it.

The Deakin MBA is renowned for its flexibility, and not just in the traditional sense. Our range of flexible study modes is complimented by unrivalled experiential opportunities. From industry networking events and international study tours to six-day residential intensive units; it's truly a course you can personalise to suit your study goals, career aspirations and life commitments.

Intensive units

Deakin Business School's intensive units involve six consecutive days of intensive study. You’ll immerse yourself in focused business study, undertake innovative and experiential learning activities and build your professional networks.

Short courses

Our new stackable short courses are changing the face of university study, enabling you to prioritise what you learn, when. Each course is co-designed with industry experts and partners to meet your career goals and their employment needs, with the added benefit of credit towards Deakin's MBA.

Flexible starts

We understand that juggling work, life and study can be complicated. Start Anytime offers you the flexibility to begin some units at any time of the year and complete them online at your own pace.

Overseas study opportunities

During your studies, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in international consultancy experiences, internships, volunteering placements, and study abroad programs – both face-to-face and virtual. These are more than opportunities to experience a new culture or workplace; they'll enrich your learning and provide credit towards your degree. In the global world of business, they play a crucial role in preparing you for a wealth of career opportunities, which value intercultural experience.

Be rewarded for the work you’ve already put in

Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is our way of recognising the hard work you’ve already put into your studies or career. RPL for the MBA may be granted to students who have successfully completed appropriate postgraduate studies in management, reducing your course duration and tuition costs. We also have credit for prior learning arrangements for CPA and IPA members where you can receive up to 6 credit points of RPL in to Deakin’s MBA.
