Study commitment:

Students will on average spend 150-hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Content

This unit is designed to equip students to effectively and competently teach Humanities at the senior secondary level. The main areas of study explored are History, Geography, Sociology, Legal Studies, Economics/Accounting/Business Management, Philosophy and Politics. This unit will examine the structure of senior years curriculum through a focus on the content and approaches outlined by curriculum and policy documents relevant to disciplines. The assessment tasks within this unit develop skills in writing assessment tasks and rubrics and developing revision sequences that focus on developing critical thinking and conceptual development.
