Dear Pre-Service Teachers,
We understand that you have some questions about how the current COVID-19 pandemic and the consequent measures put in place by the State and Australian governments might impact your upcoming professional experience placements.
We have set up some Frequently Asked Questions about this topic on the Professional Experience CloudDeakin site.
We will be updating these FAQs as new information comes to hand.
Professional Experience placements are a required element of initial teacher education courses.
Placement assists our pre-service teachers to build strong foundations towards their chosen careers. It provides the essential links between theory and practice. We are extremely fortunate that our partnership schools provide rich experiences and embrace our pre-service teachers into their teaching and learning communities.
If you are a student, please make sure you familiarise yourself with all expectations and requirements prior to your placement.
The purpose of this website is to provide information to all concerned with placement. However, please do not hesitate to contact our offices if you need further clarification or any other information.

In order to register for placements Deakin students need to ensure that they enter their details on the InPlace database.
Important information about the database is available in the InPlace Database Instructions (PDF).
Ordering a name badge
EDUCATION STUDENTS ONLY. All other students - please speak with your School about where to order your name badge.
Please note you will receive an email advising you to collect your badge from the Professional Experience Office (approximately 4 weeks). All badges for off-campus students will be sent out via post.
