Alfred Deakin Medals for doctoral theses
Awarded each year to up to four Deakin doctoral research students who produce the most outstanding theses. -
Neil Archbold Memorial Travel Award and Medal
Awarded each year to two research students who produce the best peer-reviewed journal articles for sciences, and for humanities and social science. -
HDR Conference care and support fund
Provides up to $2000 to enable researchers and HDR students to attend conferences, workshops or symposia.
Indigenous prize

Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Outstanding Contribution to Indigenous Communities through Education
To recognise a First Nations student who has demonstrated excellence in and commitment to enhancing First Nations education through community engagement during their university studies.
Undergraduate prizes

Awarded to the highest performing undergraduate in each faculty. Selection is based on academic merit and contribution to uni life. -
Vice-Chancellor's Prize
Awarded to the two top honours students in each faculty with selection based on academic merit. Students are invited to apply. -

Awarded to students who have made an outstanding contribution to the life and work of the University. -
Vice-Chancellor's Medal for Recognising Excellence
Awarded to students who have overcome hardship while completing their undergraduate degree. -
