For all queries on the Code or concerns arising from it, please email us.

Minimum resources for graduate researchers
Deakin provides graduate researchers with the resources they need to undertake their research project. This is written into the Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) Admission, Selection and Enrolment procedure. Details of resources provided are outlined on the Resource Requirements for Graduate Researchers page.
Travel and conferences
Funding is available to support travel to conferences and for other research-related activities. This is generally provided by your Faculty, School or Research Institute. Deakin PhD candidates have access to $5000 to support their attendance at conferences during their candidature. Your first point of contact is your School’s Graduate Research Coordinator.
Enabled by the Gender Equality in Research Policy, the Vice-Chancellor's Conference Care Support fund provides financial support to assist researchers with carers responsibilities, who would otherwise be unable to attend conferences, workshops or symposia.
Traveling overseas
If you are planning to travel overseas to attend a conference or for other research-related activity during your candidature, you should contact your Faculty, School or Institute.
Graduate Researchers traveling overseas on University business are required to arrange overseas travel insurance. International Travel Insurance is comprehensive insurance that includes cover for medical expenses and extends to cover items such as cancellation expenses and personal belongings. Cover under Deakin's travel insurance policy must be arranged by submitting an online overseas travel insurance request through the International Travel Insurance for Students webpage. This will automatically generate an email to the Insurance Risk Officer. An email will then be sent confirming insurance if applicable. You may also need to arrange private insurance cover depending on how many leisure days are included in the trip.

Deakin provides a range of scholarships for domestic and international graduate researchers. The Higher Degrees by Research (HDR) Scholarship Procedure outlines the requirements for Research Training Scheme (RTP) and Deakin University Postgraduate Research (DUPR) scholarships awarded.
