When will my scholarship be paid?
Before payment can be made, your ongoing eligibility to receive your scholarship must be confirmed. These checks can only occur after census date when your enrolment for the trimester/semester is confirmed.
When are payments made?
Scholarship payments for each trimester/semester are made progressively within four weeks after the census date, once eligibility is confirmed.
- Semester 1 – 31 March*
- Semester 2 – 31 August
- Trimester 1 – 31 March*
- Trimester 2 – 15 August
- Trimester 3 – 15 December
*For Trimester/Semester 1 2024, the census date has been revised to 3 April 2024.
If your scholarship makes a cash payment, the payment will be made directly to your nominated bank account within four weeks after the census date, unless specified otherwise in your offer letter.
Student contributions/tuition fees
If your scholarship is for part or all of your student contributions, payment will be applied directly to your fee account within four weeks after the census date. You can view your invoice in StudentConnect.
Scholarships held by students enrolled part-time are generally taxable and may need to be declared taxable income. For more information on whether or not your scholarship is taxable, please go to 'scholarships’ on the ATO website.
