Content
EAL Teachers need to have an in-depth understanding of all systemic aspects of language- lexical, morphological, syntactical, and phonological, and their associated structures and functions. This unit scaffolds these understandings and also raises awareness of the pedagogical applications of linguistic knowledge. In this unit, students will also develop the ability to assess the spoken and written language abilities of EAL learners at different levels of proficiency and monitor their stages of additional language development.
