Deakin University is committed to providing a website that's accessible to everyone, regardless of technology or ability. We're constantly working to increase the accessibility and usability of our website, and in doing so seek to adhere to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards.
Our websites are built to be appropriately accessible to the widest range of people possible, including those using assistive technology.
Deakin has adopted WCAG 2.0 (Level AA) as the benchmark for our website, and we've engaged an external agency to conduct an accessibility review to inform on areas of improvement.
A range of accessibility software is also available to Deakin students and staff.
Deakin University's website is built using HTML 5 specifications. The website look and feel has been defined by CSS, and has been written according to CSS 3 specifications.
