Your commute to campus

Getting to campus is easy with a range of transport options to suit your lifestyle.

Public transport

The easiest way to get to Burwood Campus is by tram or bus. The #75 tram between Vermont South and Central Pier Docklands stops right out the front (Stop #63). SmartBus Route 903 travels via Elgar Road and the Deakin shuttle bus – Route 201 – runs frequently between Box Hill Station and campus.

The nearest major train station is Box Hill, with Burwood (Alamein line) and Jordanville (Glen Waverley line) stations also nearby.

Plan your journey

Drive

It's approximately a 30-minute drive from Melbourne's CBD, depending on traffic. There's quite a few campus carparks but be mindful that they fill quickly – especially at the start of Trimesters 1 and 2.

Cycle

There are many cycling tracks surrounding the campus, so commuting on your bike is a great, scenic option! On campus you'll find plenty of showers, change rooms, bike racks, lockers and a secure bike cage.

Disability access

Most buildings are wheelchair accessible and include lifts, accessible toilets and automatic doors. All campuses offer accessible parking. You’ll also find a quiet, low-sensory reset room in the library.
