I shall be presenting the following seminars on reading and writing strategies to help progress your research journey. If you are a new candidate or wish to refresh your skills in these areas, I would strongly advise you to attend. There will also be an international focus in these seminars.

Time	Seminar/Workshop
10.30 - 11.30am	Reading Academic Literature
	This seminar discusses the strategies in which reading academic literature can be an enjoyable, stimulating, smooth and productive process.
11.30 - 12.30pm	Academic Note making made easy
	This seminar follows from reading strategies and discusses the techniques of making notes. In the process it draws upon techniques for quoting, paraphrasing, summarising, including techniques for avoiding plagiarism.
12.30pm	LUNCH
1.30-2.30pm	The Art of Academic Writing
	This session reviews various forms of academic writing and the functions they perform in academic writing.
