Cloud (online) study – previously known as off-campus study, is fast becoming the preferred way to combine study with work or family commitments. Each year over 10 000 students choose cloud (online) study at Deakin.

What is cloud (online) study?

Cloud (online) study at Deakin - gives you freedom to study when and where it suits you. Watch your lectures online from the comfort of your own couch. Read your texts on your tablets or laptop while you are on the train. Compare notes with other students online during your lunchbreak. We don't set the limits, you do.

Resources and support for cloud (online) students

Cloud (online) students are supported through our award-winning library services, interactive study methods and student support services.

Cloud (online) orientation - access our online orientation resources for helpful information and resources.

UniStart workshops - online sessions  are held throughout the year and help you develop key study skills such as getting organised, writing essays and preparing for exams.

Study Support is available for cloud (online) students by appointment, helping you to improve your approach to university. Consultations can be done on the phone, via Bb Collaborate or on Skype.

Career consultations can be booked with a dedicated Careers Counsellor for cloud (online) students. These can be held by phone or via Skype. Bookings can be made by logging into Jobshop.

Deakin's services and facilities are available to cloud (online) students. Students outside of Victoria or Australia can access many of our services remotely.
