Get to know Deakin's online learning portal
Deakin uses a personal online learning portal called DeakinSync. It’s an adaptive, all-in-one digital space that makes staying connected on your smartphone, tablet or laptop easy. It’s the place where you collaborate with others to stay connected and in control of your studies. When you're on DeakinSync you can:
- access your learning materials, reading lists and study guides
- participate in online classes, seminars and live chats
- manage your enrolment and fees
- access your student email
- get IT and library support
- access all sorts of study and personal support resources
- connect with career support.
How will I access course content?
You can participate in live-streaming seminars and class discussions, chat with staff and students, and submit assignments online. Your unit content, learning resources, timetable and portfolio are all available online too.
How will I interact with my lecturers?
All Deakin students and staff use our online learning portal, so you’ll always have access to expert teaching staff who are dedicated to supporting your learning, no matter where you are in the world.
Deakin is a genuinely technologically advanced university. Its online learning platform allows you to feel as though you are learning from within a classroom, even though you are sitting at your desk at home.
