Employee Engagement (Or any of its derivatives) at work, and in the context of HRM. How is it driven, enhanced and developed? What are the impeding factors for an engaged workforce.
Human Resource Management - the value add and strategic contribution of the human resource to organisational competitiveness.
Human Resource Development - the development of the core talent, individual, team, and/or organisation for greater performance. Why develop? How to develop? and how to ascertain the contribution of the development.
Ideally, ENGAGEMENT AT WORK would be my core research and interest area, this is especially so in the context of the higher education sector, but there is intent to extend my research further afield into other sectors. Deconstructing the ideas associated with engagement within the wider literature context is considered a challenge especially given the expanse of research from academics, and the proliferation of consultant contributions. Understanding the human contribution at work, and some of the drivers is critical for businesses today.
