For students commencing courses M300, M307, D301, D313, D317, D321, D322, D325, D338, D366 or D388 from Trimester 1 2016: MMM132
Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.
1 x 2 hour class per week + 1 x 2 hour seminar per fortnight
1 x 2 hour pre-recorded class (lecture) per week + 1 x 2 hour BbCollaborate seminar per fortnight (weeks 2, 4, 6, 8 and 11)
This unit provides students with the theoretical framework and practical skills required of practitioners in the human resource development area of organisations. It identifies the functions of human resource development within the organisation and considers current and future trends, including training and development, career development, and organisational development.
These are the Learning Outcomes (ULO) for this UnitAt the completion of this Unit, successful students can:
ULO1
Define, explain and apply HRD theory to the three major HRD functions: training and development, organizational development and career development.
ULO2
Reflect on their own ability to work independently and as a group to identify solutions to HRD problems.
ULO3
Work effectively in a group to design, develop and deliver a training session that conforms to the requirements of HRD practice.
These Unit Learning Outcomes are applicable for all teaching periods throughout the year
