Content

What is ‘theory’? Why use it? How do particular theories develop? How can they be brought to bear usefully in new contexts? This unit explores these questions and more by offering an introduction to a wide range of theoretical, historical and philosophical perspectives and positions. Students will be encouraged to explore a range of influential theoretical concepts and perspectives pertinent to their discipline (Literary Studies, Writing, Gender and Sexuality Studies)
