Brief Biography

Tom Stanley is a Professor of Economics and Business at Hendrix Liberal Arts College in Arkensas, USA.

He is the leading researcher in meta-regression analysis and his research has been extensively cited. According to Google Scholar, his research has received over two thousand citations. In recognition of his contributions to the field, Professor Stanley was made Associate Editor for the Journal of Economic Surveys in 2008.

Professor Stanley is a Senior Visiting Fellow at London School of Economics where he collaborates with a team of LSE health economists. Professor Stanley is the convener of a research organization, MAER-Net, devoted to meta-analysis of economics research, that has about 100 members and holds annual research colloquia.

He is an invited member of Nordisk Campbell Center's Method Group (Socialforskningsinstituttet) and is also a nominated member of the Society for Research Synthesis Methodology, which has a small, fixed membership of the world's leading statisticians and medical researchers who specialize in meta-analysis.
