Exam timetables

Exam timetables are released 6 weeks before each exam period.

Exams are held at the end of each Trimester, Semester or other study period.

If you are studying units assessed with exams, you must be available to sit an exam at any time within these published dates.

  • Trimester 1 and Trimester 2 exams commence on a Monday and are held over a two week period.
  • Trimester 3 exams commence on a Thursday and are held over seven days.

Exam Scheduling Guidelines

  • You will not have more than two exams scheduled on any one day
  • You will not have more than two exams scheduled consecutively (back to back), including consecutive exams scheduled across two days
  • Where possible the overall percentage of consecutive (back to back) exams should be no greater than 5%
  • Where you have two exams clash (scheduled at the same time) arrangements will be made to reschedule one of the exams to the next available session
  • Exams may be scheduled at 9.00 am, 1.00 pm or 4.30 pm, except exams equal to or exceeding 3 hours duration, which will be scheduled at 9.00 am
  • Where possible Friday exams will be scheduled to the 9.00 am and 1.00 pm sessions only
