Apply for honours

An Honours degree can lead to further research or improve your career prospects. Deakin has two types of honours degrees: research and on-course.

Research honours degrees

Research honours degrees are usually one year full time in length and enhance your completed degree. Places usually are offered to students who have achieved high results in their degree.

How to apply

Domestic applicants

To apply for honours courses:

  1. Check the eligibility and entry requirements
  2. Check the Trimester 3, 2014 and Trimester 1, 2015 available courses
  3. Apply via Deakin's Applicant Portal

International applicants

If you're an International applicant, please read our special application requirements.

Additional application requirements

The following research honours courses have additional application requirements:

  • Arts (Honours)
  • Psychology
  • Exercise and Nutrition
  • Science, Engineering and Built Environment

Adding documents to your application

If you need to add documents to your application you may need to have them certified.

On-course honours degrees (4+ years long degree)

These degree courses have honours embedded within them and are usually 4 years or more in length, depending on the degree.

How to apply

Domestic applicants

To apply for honours courses:

  1. Check the eligibility and entry requirements
  2. Check the Trimester 3, 2014 available courses.  For trimester 1 the intake is via VTAC
  3. Apply via Deakin's Applicant Portal or VTAC.

International applicants

If you're an International applicant, please read our special application requirements.

Adding documents to your application
