Go on a study tour

Travel abroad and immerse yourself in a different culture, while earning credits towards your degree. We offer study tours for sport science, as well as food and nutrition students. Whether it’s visiting leading international sports institutes and iconic arenas or exploring food production and policies in different cultures, you’ll have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of your chosen discipline.

Our tours run on alternating years and have taken in countries such as the Netherlands, UK, USA, Singapore and Malaysia. Study tours run for two to three weeks and are guided by academics.

I travelled to the US as part of a study tour. When you think of a course in food and nutrition, I bet you don't think you could wind up making your own chocolate bar in the Hershey's factory. These are the kinds of opportunities Deakin offers that enrich the course.
