Overview
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation major develops students’ ability to identify opportunities, design new ventures and bring creative ideas to life. Students learn how to create, test, fund and grow entrepreneurial initiatives across commercial, social purpose and small business contexts. Through units in entrepreneurship and innovation, entrepreneurship for purpose, new venture creation and validation, entrepreneurial finance, negotiation, small business management and entrepreneurial ecosystems, students build practical skills in creative thinking, business design, pitching, problem-solving and adapting in fast-changing environments. The major culminates in the Turning Ideas into Action capstone, where students apply their learning to develop and communicate an innovative, viable and impactful entrepreneurial solution.
