You’ll start with a shared first year alongside commerce students, completing core units like Shaping the Future of Business, Business Impact in Society and Professional Identity and Career Development.
You’ll also take business-specific units such as financial literacy, economics, digital information management, marketing innovation and managing people and organisations.
In years two and three, you’ll complete a major, electives and work-integrated learning.
Choose from a range of majors, designed with industry to give you practical skills, confidence and clear career direction. Business majors include AI and business information systems, business management, entrepreneurship and innovation, human resource management, marketing management and project management.
Industry experience is a core part of the Bachelor of Business. Throughout your degree, you will engage directly with industry through guest speakers, live case studies, and projects that bring theory to life and build your professional awareness. These regular touchpoints are enhanced with a work-integrated learning experience, where you will collaborate with an industry partner through a consultancy project or internship. Course structure
To complete the Bachelor of Business, you must pass 24 credit points.
Most units are equal to one credit point. As a full-time student you will study four credit points per trimester and usually undertake two trimesters per year.

Units
To be completed in the first trimester of study:-
Refer to the details of each major sequence for availability.
Students may choose up to 7 credit points of open electives. These may constitute a second business major, (provided any pre-requisites can be met), or up to two minor sequences or a combination of units (as above) chosen by the student.
These may include additional Work Integrated Learning (WIL) units offered by the Faculty or University subject to meeting pre-requisites.
What to expect while studying
Course duration may be affected by delays in completing course requirements, such as failing of units or accessing or completing placements.
Units which contain work integrated learning, a community placement or interaction with the community may require a police check, working with children check or other check. These requirements will be detailed in unit guides upon enrolment.
You can expect to participate in a range of teaching activities each week. This could include lectures, seminars, online interactions, or professional experiences for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) units. You can refer to the individual unit details in the course structure for more information. You will also need to study and complete assessment tasks in your own time.
Units in this course may have participation requirements that include compulsory placements, work-based training, community-based learning or collaborative research training arrangements.
