Before I commenced doing my PhD, I took the English Academic Purpose (EAP) course at Deakin University English Language Institute (DUELI). The 15 weeks that I studied at DUELI was a good time.

English language requirements

The English language requirements for Deakin's higher degrees by research courses are benchmarked against the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) standards. There is a minimum level of English proficiency required to study all of our courses.

If English isn't your first language, or if your degree qualifications weren't undertaken in English, you will need to provide evidence of English proficiency.
