Deakin's key influencers

18 March 2014

To celebrate Deakin's 40th Anniversary we are reflecting on our founders, innovators, leaders and most inspiring alumni to recognise those individuals who have helped shape the University and the lives of our students.

Who can be nominated?
Former staff and students; current staff and students; supporters of Deakin University. Anyone who has made a difference to the University and the lives of our students. You don't need to personally know the person you are nominating. Posthumous nominations are welcomed.

Nomination categories
There are five categories in which you may nominate a key influencer;

AccessContribution to accessibility in education.
AchievementsPersonal or professional achievements which have inspired future students and staff.
TechnologyA pioneer of technology (teaching or administration).
CommunityAmbassadors of Deakin within the local communities.
LeadershipInspirational leadership within and/or across the University.

As the nomination process draws to a close we've realised that we haven't been as comprehensive as we'd like in finding all those people who really make the university the thriving community it is.  To fix this significant oversight we've created a new category – the Quiet Achiever and to give you time to nominate we're adding an additional week to the deadline which will now close Wednesday 14 May

NEW category
Quiet Achievers The unsung people who keep the University running smoothly.
