Warrnambool is located on the southern coast of Victoria and is the largest town on the Great Ocean Road. Situated on the shores of the beautiful Lady Bay, Warrnambool is 3.5 hours drive from the centre of Melbourne.

Deakin Warrnambool campus is set on 114 hectares on the banks of the Hopkins River on the eastern outskirts of the city and is one of the most picturesque university campuses in Australia.

The campus is close to a shopping centre with banks, post office, supermarkets, doctor, dentist and physiotherapist, department stores and specialty shops.

There are ample free parking spaces for people staying in the residences.

Sherwood Fitness Club
The Club houses a range of cardio, free and pin weight equipment, boxing equipment, mats, balls, bands and ropes.

Fitness Instructors The facility has a number of qualified fitness instructors who have extensive knowledge and competitive backgrounds in a range of sports. They have a broad knowledge of all the latest training techniques and the ability to set fitness programs and group activities for a range of abilities, fitness levels and goals. Squash courts / multifunction room
There is a squash court which doubles as a group fitness/aerobics room.

Oval and Pavilion
A floodlit football oval is serviced by a large pavilion with shower, toilet and canteen facilities.

Outdoor courts
Two synthetic courts are located next to the oval and can be set up for netball, tennis or basketball. They are serviced by two player shelters.

Golf Course
Warrnambool campus is home to the 9-hole Sherwood Golf Course which is within walking distance from the residences.

Aquazone
The City of Warrnmbool's Aqua Centre "Aquazone" is a state of the art aquatic facility with an Olympic sized pool and dive pool, café, aerobics studio, crèche and off-street parking. More information about Aquazone

Warrnambool Stadium
Warrnambool Stadium, built in 2001, is the newest multi purpose indoor sports facility in Victoria's South West. The stadium features a show court with seating for around 700; a highball court area, consisting of two basketball or netball courts, four volleyball courts or ten badminton courts and a multipurpose room with catering and viewing to the show court and is available for training, meetings or functions.

The on-campus bar "The SUB" has a bar area, dance floor with a stage and a new decking area that overlooks the Hopkins River for relaxing summer days/nights.
