Content

This unit examines local and global issues currently impacting leadership across a range of educational contexts and considers implications for education policy and leadership practices in these different settings. Challenges and issues are explored critically through the lens of key theories and research, frameworks for developing policy and leadership, and practice approaches informing the implementation of educational policy and contemporary approaches to leadership. Knowledge and skills developed in the unit are applied to critically examine and analyse the policy and leadership context of a local setting, and to prepare a proposal for strengthening policy and leadership practice with particular attention given to ethical leadership, well-being and sustainability.
