Study commitment

Students will on average spend 150 hours over the teaching period undertaking the teaching, learning and assessment activities for this unit.

This will include educator guided online learning activities within the unit site.

Scheduled learning activities - campus

Campus: 2 on-campus contact hours per week (1 x 1 hour lecture + 1 x 1 hour seminar). The lecture and seminar will be recorded and placed online at the end of the seminar.

Online: 2 x 1 hour lecture (recordings provided)
Burwood and Waurn Ponds students must attend the weekly seminar, which will include a quiz and discussion of online lecture content.

Content

This unit aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role that nanotechnology will play in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions in the future. This unit will look at how this rapidly developing field will impact human health and the challenges involved.
