Content

In this unit students will consider socio-historical developments in approaches to coaching and reflect upon these and their own personal assumptions regarding ethical and inclusive coaching. Students will also identify barriers and enablers to access, participation and learning in a sporting context and analyse the impact that various forms of exclusion have on individuals and communities. Students will consider the role of the coach in developing and fostering ethical and inclusive environments, alongside gender-responsive and diversity-responsive coaching policies and practices.
