We can help you understand your university fees, figure out if you're eligible for assistance and assist you in planning your budget while you're studying at Deakin. The first thing you'll need to know is what type of student you are.
You're a domestic student if you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen or the holder of an Australian humanitarian visa.
The Australian Government recently announced proposed increases to tuition fees for students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP). It is proposed that CSP fees will increase by 1.8% in 2018 and continue rise to a total of 7.5% by 2021. The fee rates for 2018 will be available later in the year once the Government has confirmed the applicable amounts.
Domestic higher degree by research
If you're a domestic student and you're undertaking a higher degree by research at Deakin, you won't have to pay any course fees.
If you're a temporary resident of Australia or citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand, you're an international student.
If you're currently studying with us, you can find detailed current student fee information on our student site.
