Activities on Campus

Sport and recreation

Fitness Club staff are highly experienced fitness professionals, who can design a personal program for you and assist you with any fitness questions you may have. Fitness Club memberships are competitively priced and allow you to use the Fitness Club on your Campus. The facilities vary at each Campus with a number of the Campuses having the latest cardio, weights and free motion equipment.

Student and Faculty clubs

At Deakin you can join a huge range of student and Faculty clubs. You might have seen the clubs advertising during Orientation Week, and it’s never too late to join.

There are also additional student clubs that are not registered with DUSA:

DUSA off campus

Studying as an off-campus student can be very daunting. Off-campus students often have to juggle work and family commitments with study and finding time for themselves. Added to this mix they also have to contend with isolation and often a sense of loneliness.

So how do you cope with all of this? DUSA Distance Campus offers a range of services to assist you while at Deakin. The website is your one-stop-shop for all your off-campus needs. Whether you want to join a study group, chat using our IM chat, find out what’s on, check out our publications or just generally 'chill out' the website has it all for you. It's as easy as using your Deakin email to sign up, create your own password and off you go!

'Off in the Distance' is an online magazine which is compiled by distance students to keep you up-to-date with what’s happening on and off campus. It also contains student stories, photos, study tips and important information for you as an off-campus student. All 'Off in the Distance' issues can be found on the Distance website.
