Evening examinations
All Trimester exam periods incorporate evening examinations.
What time do evening exams commence?
6 pm.
Are evening exams held on all Campuses?
Yes.
Are evening exams held each day?
Evening exams will be held every day of the examination period except on a Friday.
How will I know if I have an evening exam?
Check your personal examination timetable via StudentConnect.
Are evening exams compulsory?
Yes.
What security will be provided at night during evening exams?
Additional security will be provided on all Campuses to patrol exam venues, Campus carparks and generally all areas of the Campus.
Will food and beverage services be available on each Campus during evening exams?
Limited food and beverage services will be available on each Campus in the evening. Candidates are advised to ensure they have eaten prior to commencing evening exams as the University cannot guarantee independent food outlets will remain open beyond standard business hours.
Will the library be open on each Campus during evening exams?
Each Campus library will maintain their standard operating hours during the examination period. Please check the library operating hours and locations page.
Will Deakin Central be open on all Campuses during evening exams?
Deakin Central will be open until 7 pm on all Campuses except Waterfront and Warrnambool which will maintain standard business hours.
Will the medical centre be open on each Campus during evening exams?
No. Each Campus medical centre will maintain their standard operating hours during the examination period. Please refer to the Deakin Medical Centre page for operating hours and locations.
Will off-campus students have to sit evening exams?
Yes.
Can I change my exam time?
No.
Will there be special study areas made available during evening exams?
Study facilities such as the library and computer labs will remain available during evening examinations in line with their standard operating hours.
