Every Deakin campus has a dedicated room where you can change your baby's nappy, heat up milk or breastfeed in a comfy chair. We also have baby change facilities in designated toilets on each campus.
Our parent rooms feature everything you'll need. For example, our Burwood parent's room includes:
- a comfortable chair and a highchair
- a sink, microwave and fridge
- a small play area for young children
- toys and books
- a lockable door if you'd like some privacy.

If you're driving to campus with your child, we suggest that you use the carpool area in car park 6, level 2 as there are no stairs there if you need to navigate with a pram.
To access the Melbourne Burwood parent room, you'll need to collect a swipe card from Equity and Diversity (DRC, Building B, Level 1). Please contact Equity and Diversity on +61 3 9244 6255 to organise access.
Geelong Waurn Ponds
When not in use, the door to the Geelong Waterfront parent room is generally kept open. If you require private access to the room for breastfeeding, please alert staff at the DUSA reception desk nearby so the door can be locked.
