At times it can be difficult to find a car parking space on campus, particularly in the first few weeks of trimester. During these busy periods we strongly recommend you seek alternatives such as using public transport or carpooling. Parking permits are required on campus between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, although some areas require permits 24 hours a day. A parking permit allows you to park in a defined zone, but does not guarantee a space will be available.\n\nParking permits can be purchased by registering to use Deakin's pay by phone app, also from parking permit machines and Deakin Central. \n\nIf you are issued a parking infringement notice, please follow the instructions on the reverse of the notice.\n\nMotorcycle parking\nParking permits are not required for motorcycles or scooters. Motorcycles and scooters should park in motorcycle bays but may also park close to buildings so long as they do not obstruct the passage of vehicles or pedestrians.\n\nTo find out more, visit
