Bike Hubs at Deakin Universitybike

Bike Hubs are secure bicycle facilities where you can store your bike during the day while at Uni. They are fully secured with access granted only via swipe card, plus there are CCTV security cameras on site 24/7.

Where can I find a Bike Hub?

Melbourne Burwood Campus

Located on the east side of building HB, the facility can house 65 bikes.

Geelong Waterfront Campus

Located in level 1 of the underground car park (D1.001). The facility can house 36 bikes.

Geelong Waurn Ponds Campus

Bike Hub 01: Located in the REACH building (building dd). The facility can house 34 bikes.

Bike Hub 02: Located next to the GTP building. The facility can house 20 bikes and has 28 lockers.

 

How do I gain access to a Bike Hub?

Entry to a Bike Hub is via access card only. To obtain an access card you will need to sign and complete a Key's Request Form. There are 2 methods for submitting your forms.

1. Post your forms to Facilities Services:

  • Deakin University, Facilities Services, building lc, Pigdons Road, Waurn Ponds 3216

2. Drop your forms off at:

  • Burwood: reception at building K, Facilities Services.
  • Geelong: reception at building lc (Geelong Waurn Ponds), Facilities Services.

An authorised officer there will sign your form and submit it to be processed.

Collecting your access card

When you collect your card you will need to bring your Deakin University staff or student identification card. The access card will only be issued to the authorised person on the Key's Request Form.

Please note that it may take up to 5 working days to for your card to be ready for use. You will receive notification via email (if provided on the form) when the access card is ready to be picked up.
